I often take screenshots from Notion and send them as text messages. As it turns out, this serves as a historical record of changes.
Here’s a screenshot from April of last year, super-imposed on a screenshot from today. (I used Photoshop to layer them…the lighter text is newer.)

To make it clearer where the bug lies, here’s an informal measurement of the line heights at play. The old layout has a consistent distance (green) between the baseline and ascenders. The new layout adds a gap (purple+pink).

What’s more, the gap compounds with further indentation. Here’s a live demonstration:
